Janet Rothenberg Memorial

Proudly hosted by United Sports Academy, the Janet Rothenberg Memorial is the Poconos’ premier gymnastics meet. With over 2,000 competitors, there you can find world champions and national champions, with a handful of girls competing for a $5,000 student scholarship.

Janet was a beloved gymnast who was only 19 years old when she passed away unexpectedly from a brain tumor while studying in Beijing, China during a Semester at Sea program through the University of Pittsburgh. One of Janet’s dreams was to do a handstand on the Great Wall of China. Janet accomplished that goal the day before she died. Janet’s motto was, “Don’t just dream a dream, make it happen!”
